The Education Minister on Thursday said that the free distribution of textbooks and stipend among the students of primary and secondary schools helped improve results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations. We want all to pass. The guardians have also had a good role behind the success. A total of 86.97 percent students passed this year’s JSC and JDC examinations at a rate of 83.71 percent last year. The number of participants, pass rate, number of highest GPA achievers and the number of academic institutions with 100 percent success have increased in comparison with last year’s JSC and JDC examinations. Monipur High School and Rajuk Uttara Model College in Dhaka retained their position as best schools in this year’s primary terminal and Junior School Certificate (JSC) exams for the second time in a row. Monipur High School achieved cent percent pass rate in the primary terminal exam taken by Grade-V students. A total of 1,563 students of the school out of 2,060 secured GPA 5. Viqarunnisa Noon School secured the second position while Mymensingh Zilla School third, Mymensingh Girls Cadet College fourth and Motijheel Ideal School and College fifth.
